What we collect
Local computer, puzzle and same-device games run on your device and are not uploaded. When you choose online multiplayer and sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication processes your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile image. Checkers Duel stores the board name you choose, Checkers rating, wins, losses, draws, challenges, match state, moves and online presence.
The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect app interactions and technical usage information, such as app opens, completed game modes and review-flow requests. Analytics events do not include your display name, email address, individual moves, match IDs or message content. Google and Firebase may also process limited technical information such as IP address, device information and service logs to operate and secure their services.
How we use information
- Authenticate your account and keep your profile available across devices.
- Connect players, validate moves on the server and restore active matches.
- Calculate Elo ratings and display public board names and results on leaderboards.
- Understand aggregated game usage, improve the experience and diagnose technical failures.
Sharing and service providers
Online features and analytics use Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Google Analytics for Firebase, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Functions. Data is shared with these processors only as needed to provide, measure and secure the game. We do not include advertising SDKs, sell personal information or use game data for targeted advertising.
Retention and security
Online profile and game data is retained while your account exists. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the associated Google Analytics property. Connections use HTTPS, direct database writes are restricted by security rules, and online moves are checked by server-side functions. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Delete your account and data
To request deletion of your Checkers Duel account, profile, leaderboard entry and multiplayer records, email geos.media.mt@gmail.com from the Google address connected to your account. We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting data. The request permanently deletes the Board Duel profile, handle, leaderboard entry, invites, matches, moves, presence and Firebase Authentication account; it cannot be undone.
Children's privacy
Checkers Duel is a general-audience strategy game and is not directed specifically to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The latest version and effective date will remain on this page. Questions can be sent to geos.media.mt@gmail.com.
